\"Pilot\" is the pilot and first episode of the American television series Manifest, first aired on NBC on September 24, 2018. It involves a flight from Jamaica to New York City which experiences a brief period of severe turbulence, but lands safely to find that five years have passed while the plane was in the air. The episode was written by series creator Jeff Rake, and directed by David Frankel. It was initially seen by 10.40 million viewers.
Verne Gay of Newsday praised the cast, and noted that \"Manifest wants to be This Is Us with a taste of Lost.\"[11] Lorraine Ali of the Los Angeles Times wrote that the pilot \"initially captivates with Lost-like puzzles ... But once on the ground, rote themes of redemption and faith dilute an otherwise intriguing supernatural occurrence\".[12] Matthew Gilbert of The Boston Globe called the episode \"soapy\", but praised the setup of the primary mystery.[13]
Manifest fans never saw Captain Daly or Dr. Clarke again until the season 3 finale on June 10, 2021. For a very brief moment, Daly and the hijacked plane appeared in the Eureka testing facility. Scared, he called out for help, but then disappeared with the plane once more.

With the help of Ben and his sister. The two gentlemen are able to track down a meteorologist that was actually tracking the weather that night. He states how he basically lost his job was asked to resigned and swear under oath never to talk about it. He discovered black lightning and the government shut him down. With the new weather information given to them Bill and Ben return to the stimulus with the new data to put in the system. As we watch as soon as the plane simulator starts up we see that it is exactly like the night they went missing and he crashes in several times in the simulator. The meteorologist is later killed in a staged boating accident by The Major. At this point in time Daly goes missing and Ben and his sister check out his apartment where they find Daly has been waiting around for another black lightening storm and has found one.. Daly still blaming Fiona and feeling like she is the missing piece to his puddle goes to kidnap her. We see Daly arrive at the airport load Fiona on the plan and prepare his take off, telling Ben who is trying to talk him into not doing it that it has to be done. Near the end of the episode, Fiona wakes up and tells him she had nothing to do with what happened, that the government took her research, and that they are using it, that she has received no credit, and also is not a part of the shared mind-melding pot. At some point, he finally realizes that she is telling the truth, and at this point in time while he is he makes the comment I will see you in the future in 2024. While flying in there final moments see the same glare of light he first saw the first time the plane disappeared for five missing years, we see and hear a explosion and then the plane falls off the radar. We hear the Air Force pilots that came to escort him and the plane back to land make the statement the threat has been neutralized.
The last scene of this episode (when the plane explodes) seems to imply that there are greater powers or aliens involved, and they were destroying evidence so that modern day humankind doesn't have proof of their existence. (But once again we have Michaela narrating, and I'm not quite sure we can trust her as a reliable narrator yet.)
Recent episodes have suggested that the passengers had truly died on the plane and were resurrected by a Higher Power. Even the science Vance and his group are working on seems to confirm that theory. However, not enough is known yet to truly understand what triggered the events on the plane years before.
Although many of the main characters were not meant to be scientists, there still could have been more time devoted to figuring out the mystery of events, including how everything occurring is connected, rather than several subplots about passengers that barely make more than a one-episode appearance.
Manifest has offered plenty of teases about what their endgame could be regarding the truth about Flight 828. Unfortunately, they have never gone as far as giving a concrete answer. As this is the third season, perhaps the time has finally come to deliver the answers everyone has been waiting for.
As Grace succumbs to her injuries, she sees a teenage version of Cal, who reassures her that everything is okay, and that he now knows what he needs to do. The episode ends with Gupta, who sees the entire 828 airliner appear abruptly at Eureka, with its pilot inside, before just as quickly disappearing.
Manifest is produced by Warner Bros. TV and Universal Television. While creator Jeff Rake has long maintained he has a six-season plan in place for the series, with much of the story worked out, its fate is currently up in the air, given that a fourth season has not yet been ordered.
General Kathryn Fitz, better known as the Major, is the central antagonist of the drama television series Manifest, serving as the main antagonist of season one, the central antagonist of season two, and a posthumous antagonist in season 3.
The Major mostly works behind the scenes in the following episodes and the second season posing as Ellen Raiger, a therapist who helps passenger Saanvi Bhal after she suffers PTSD from being assaulted by a member of the Believer's church. This leads to her siphoning info out of Saanvi when she talks about the callings. Through her, they discover that the Major has been stealing Saanvi's research and attempted to attack her. This leads Saanvi to confront Fitz in an effort to cure Zeke Landon, whom Cal rescued with his callings from a blizzard. Saavni injects Fitz with an allergen to threaten her, but it backfires and kills her, closing her opportunity to further experiment on the passengers.
One of the major show premieres in 2018 was the NBC series \"Manifest.\" Created by Jeff Rake, who had previously created the Debra Messing police dramedy \"The Mysteries of Laura\" and co-created the Alicia Silverstone comedy series \"Miss Match,\" the show hooked viewers from its pilot episode, during which a plane encountered what passengers thought was turbulence during a routine flight. When they landed, however, they were all shocked to discover that they had been missing for five years.
While all the passengers faced a shock upon the landing of Flight 828, the hardest-hit character was Captain Bill Daly (Frank Deal), the pilot of the ill-fated plane. In the first season, he reveals that he's bearing the blame for the flight's disappearance and subsequent reappearance, and has lost his family as a result. Daly meets with Ben Stone (Josh Dallas), and the duo goes to see a meteorologist who says dark lightning was involved in the flight's disappearance. Desperate to prove the truth, Daly kidnaps Fiona Clarke (Francesca Faridany), a scientist and passenger on Flight 828 whom he suspected of being involved in the conspiracy, and steals a plane. He then announces \"see you in 2024\" before flying off with Fiona into more dark lightning. While the National Guard officially declares they shot down the plane, no remains were found.
Manifest aired for three seasons on NBC before the network decided to cancel the series. Fans were disheartened to hear the supernatural drama had been axed, but the series is still available to watch on Netflix. Viewers are keen to find out what happened to the plane that disappeared after the arrival of season four. 59ce067264
